Applying the bibliometric method and based on medical research papers published in 15 core translation and English journals in CNKI database, this paper reviews the research status of medical translation between 2000 and 2021 in China, summarizing the features about publication, researchers and global research characteristics, and puts forward four prospects for future research in light of existing problems and deficiencies, so as to provide reference for the further development of medical translation research in China.
