The essay investigates the current situation of volunteer activities of medical students in a Medical College, it analyzes student volunteers’ values, ethical thinking and behavior choice from the aspects of composition characteristics, organizational forms, participation motivation, service frequency, sense of achievement and harvest. The analysis found that the organizational form of voluntary activities depends on the collective, the purpose of voluntary activities is right, the voluntary service behaviors are fossilized,and voluntary service responsibility and behavior choice need guidance. Based on the cultivation needs and necessity of the ethical quality of medical students" volunteers, this essay addresses some proposals, such as innovating the propaganda and organizational forms of volunteer service, strengthening humanistic care awareness and skills training, correcting behavior motivation and guiding continuous voluntary activities, sublimating achievements and continuing incentives.
