Abstract:[Objective] To explore the coupling and coordinated development of medical services and regional economy in the Yangtze River Delta region, and to provide reference and suggestions for the simultaneous optimization of medical services and economy in the Yangtze River Delta region, in order to realize the integrated and high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta region. [Method] Based on the relevant data of three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2017 to 2021, an index evaluation system of medical services and regional economy was constructed, and the coupling coordination model was used to evaluate the coupling and coordination degree of medical services and regional economy. From 2017 to 2021, the mean coupling coordination degree of medical service and regional economic development in the Yangtze River Delta region was 0.6519, 0.6817, 0.7127, 0.6851 and 0.7393, respectively, and the average relative development degree was 1.4399, 1.3017, 1.2653, 1.0598 and 1.0427, respectively, and the correlation degree between the 15 evaluation indicators of medical service and regional economic coupling and coordination was greater than 0.6. [Conclusion] From 2017 to 2021, the medical services and regional economic development in the Yangtze River Delta region have moved from economic lag to synchronous development, and there are significant differences in the coupling coordination degree between regions and there is room for improvement, among which the allocation of medical resources and the quality of medical services are the main factors affecting the coupling and coordinated development. It is necessary to promote the coordination of medical services and the economy through regional linkage development, promote the high-quality development of economic integration in line with policy guidance, and use digital transformation to help improve both medical resources and service quality.
